Better than other major kolache competitors, and an excellent deal. Located in a gas station with a McD's also attached, for those cars enough to want something else.

This was my first time here and I promise that it won't be my last. Great pastries and Kolache's, the best I've had.

I'm originally from Dallas but I've lived in Austin so I'm used to the famous Czech Stop. But I have to say, a loyal as I am, I was incredibly impressed with everything from Weikel's in Brenham. I have to say, their cream cheese kolaches beat Czech Stop's. Their bread is fluffy, way less dense. We are instant fans. We had to make stops to and from Houston for ourselves and for gifts for my sisters and their families.

Good food and service. Not as nice as the main location in La Grange and a smaller inventory. I'm not sure if the bathrooms are covered by Weikels or the gas station staff, but they could use some more cleaning and restocking during peak travel times.

Excellent! Diamond in the rough, this is a real kolache with sweet soft bread that made it unique. Make the stop and treat yourself.

The family favorite stop traveling from Spring to Austin. The cherry cream cheese and blueberry cream cheese are my favorite, my wife loves the apricot and cherry ones and my son loves the plain cream cheese and chocolate cream cheese. My son gets excited when he sees the Brenham size and takes the Austin ramp off of Highway 290. The dough and fruit and cream cheese fillings are all so good! Nothing artificial in these authentic Czech pastries /breads / klobasniky ... Nick's Local Eats - approved! Deborah the manager is so nice and I recently tried their Nitro Cold Brew on tap, which is fantastic!

Came for the sauage and cheese kolachi's and discovered all the fruit kolachi's and other pastries. So fresh and tasty and at a fair price.Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the kolaches here. They have the fruits and meat kolaches. There is also a drink station with coffee, tea, and soft drinks.

I don't often give 5 stars, has to be great service, attitude, quality, clean, and well organized. I had a handmade chicken salad sandwich that was so fresh and delicious. Also had a cream cheese kolache that I wanted to save for breakfast at home tomorrow in Austin, it didn't make the trip home 😁.

Great bakery!!! Homemade carrot cake and apricot bread! definitely a must, but definitely not if you're diabetic!! Lol great for a pit stop for tourists. same Bakery in LaGrange. now there is one in Brenham too. Bakery fresh, homemade bread kolaches, pies.

Best real kolaches anywhere near Houston. Most of Houston calls pigs in a blanket "kolaches" and that ain't right. Cream cheese and cottage cheese for the fatwatchers. And various fruits. And cheese and fruit together. And chocolate cream cheese. And pecan bars and I could go on for quite some time enumerating every bakery delight.

The bread was hard and tasted old the kolaches weren't fresh and they didn't even attempt to heat them up

My sister n law runs this store and she makes amazing food and takes care of everyone that walks through the door. Debra made this beautiful and delicious apple pie for us on Mother's day. Thank you!

The girls at the front made mine and my sons day! Too many tasty looking things to chose from so we stuck with some chocolate chip and ranger cookies. We will definitely be back on our way through next month and hopefully get to try something new.

We always stop at Weikel’s Bakery on roadtrips to Brenham or Austin! They have the best kolaches and pigs in a blanket! They are always fresh! We discovered this place when we googled “best kolaches in Brenham” and I’d say that Google was right! The place has a nice and clean sitting area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee accompanied by one of the most delicious pastries sold here!

No running water in the men’s room during a global pandemic!?

I stop by when I'm passing through the Brenham area. A unique bakery with baked goods you can't find in other bakeries. Strudel, kolaches (savory and sweet), lemon bars, pecan bars and the largest cinnamon rolls you have ever seen!

Great bakery. Well worth stopping for kolaches and coffee.

I chose not to purchase anything because when I asked what something was the employee replied that the flavors were strawberry and blueberry (strudels or whatever they're called). Then I asked what's in them and she replied "I said strawberry and blueberry" with an attitude. I said yes I heard you say that but what are the ingredients? Then she proceeded to tell me pecans and so on. Needless to say her attitude turned me off from buying anything especially as long as she is working there. Eating the food would put a bad taste in my mouth simply because of her attitude. I don't remember her name but she was a white girl with brunette hair, she knows who she is.

Giving 5 stars for how helpful and cheerful ladies were. I kept on buying more and more. Everything is so darn fresh. This was a good place to stop! They had dried noodles. Fruit cakes. Banana loaf and of course kolaches (sorry misspelled). Buy half a dozen. So soft. Even has poppy seed ones. Darn special.

We stopped in for lunch and were sadly disappointed by the food and the employees. Their kolaches are not kept fresh, and they didn't make our sandwiches as ordered. They give you your order paper back to you with your sandwich, and dispite the paper being correct, the sandwiches were not. The chips were not consistent - one order had stale ruffled chips, and the other had regular chips...both of which were obviously Lays and not made at the bakery. They young lady ringing us up was much like my 5 year old and asked a question but didn't wait for the answer - we asked for a large soft drink but got charged for and given a small, and when the mistake was brought to her attention she had no interest in even letting us pay the difference so we could get what we wanted.

If youre passing by be sure to stop in! Holy its so good! You'll ve doing yourself a disservice if you dont go in!!!

Awesome stuff ! Authentic (real) kolaches. You know... the fruit kind with sweet bread! Just picked up some scratch made yeast rolls for Thanksgiving this year. Taste just like the ones Grandma used to make when I was a kid. Weikel's is a must stop by when in Brenham. Forgot to mention all the nice people that work there also.

Awesome service! The ladies behind the counter were super friendly and helpful! Our uncle recommended we stop at THIS particular location in Brenham and we are very glad we did. Their chicken salad is delicious! And the homemade bread it comes on--that was the best bread I've ever had! Also got the honeybee for after, which was also amazing!!! The dough was sweet, but not too powerful, with a delicious pecan pie filling without the goop! Will definitely stop by again when time permits! Thank you!! <3 <3 <3

Stopped in from San Antonio on business trip and am absolutely BLOWN AWAY at how nice the atmosphere is and how polite the staff is, was greeted by Debra with a smile and served THE BEST turkey and ham sandwich on thick wheat bread and again just amazed at the freshness of all ingredients will come back on the way out of Houston thank you!!!

Always fresh home made pastries made with love. It is so good I pick up some pecan bars for my wife every time I pass through. They have one in Brenham and in Carmine. Enjoy but beware, you will like it a lot.

We stopped & had chicken salad & tuna salad sandwiches. We said the salads were just like our own homemade. Grapes in the chicken & egg and celery in the tuna. You select the bread types & thickness, veggies, cheese (not these sandwiches). Chips are included. Bakery goods are 5 star. Pies, fruit & savory kolaches, cookies, cinnamon rolls, & my favorite HONEY PECAN ROLLS. Nice ladies at the counter. Also in LaGrange. It's larger but the food is equally good. EASY OFF &ON.

Everything I put in my mouth was delectable.The lady making sandwiches was a sweetheart and darn does she make a tasty sandwich. I think her name was Debra. If I didn't live in San Antonio I'd have a new favorite spot!

I just ate a piece of chocolate cake from Weikel's. It tasted just like a cake my mother used to make including the icing. It brought back fond memories for me. Every item I have ever eaten from this bakery has been fantastic. Wish I could give more than 5 stars because they deserve it.
